Through material exploration and the emphasis of circumstantial phenomena his works often play with the tipping point of familiarity. He compares traces of decay and growth and is intrigued by their resemblance, so the end of a product often triggers a process and even his own creations move in a constant state of recycling. Found objects and materials are analyzed and transformed based on their characteristics, creating a distance from their original function and inviting the viewer to question the perception and relation towards it.
Driven by curiosity the working process is executed in an intuitive manner, working partly de- and constructive. Being in control but leaving space for coincidences to occur implements the element of chance, expressing a feeling of unpredictability and uncertainty.
While being fascinated by organic structures and processes, but also confronted with the man-made ones, most of his playful experiments result in a juxtaposition of nature and industry, highlighting their effects on each other.
